Cancellations and Refunds

Because most trips are paid in cash on the day, cancelling is usually simple. Tell us as early as you can so the guide and driver are not left waiting.

If you cancel

Cancel any time up to 24 hours before pickup and there is nothing to pay. Inside 24 hours we ask you to let us know regardless, since the driver is often already scheduled. Where you paid a deposit for a private charter, that deposit is refundable up to 72 hours before the trip.

If we cancel

We call off trips when the river is too high to enter safely, when the access track is washed out, or when a storm is forecast over the Gramsh district. In every case you choose between a new date, a different itinerary such as the Belshi Lake day tour, or a full refund of anything you have paid.

No-shows

If nobody is at the pickup point 30 minutes after the agreed time and we cannot reach you by phone, the trip is treated as cancelled. Give us a number that works in Albania.

Weather is not a guarantee

Conditions in the canyon can change between the forecast and the morning itself. The guide makes the final call at the trailhead, and that call is about water level rather than rain. Our safety notes explain what makes a day unrunnable.
